IMPORTANT NEWS: Navy Selected Re-enlistment Bonus (SRB) annual
installments are scheduled to begin October 1. The amount will
appear on your September Leave and Earnings Statement. If you
re-enlisted this year in the combat zone, please contact your
servicing Personnel Support Activity Detachment to make sure their
system indicates that your bonus is tax free. If it does not, your
October 1 SRB installment may be taxed.

As of July 31, 2010, The Defense Finance and
Accounting Service stopped all U.S. Savings Bond allotments
processed for military personnel and military retirees, with
federal civilian employees allotments ending Aug. 29. This comes
following the U.S. Treasury's decision to convert to electronic
transactions via TreasuryDirect.gov. DFAS customers wishing to
